Ethical Surfing

Surfing spots are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the world - this beauty helps make surfing the addictive and exhilarating sport that it is. Being in this environment gives the majority of surfers an appreciation of nature and the fragility of the environment.

We do our best to ensure that we reduce the footprint caused by our trips. We do this by supporting organisations that strive for a cleaner planet and by taking active steps ourselves.

Water

We are members of Surfers Against Sewage. We do not want the water to be polluted, we want it to be clear for us and its more permanent inhabitants.  For more information, please see www.sas.org.uk/.

Carbon

By travelling down by minibus rather than in separate cars, we are ensuring that we emit as little carbon as possible, however for each trip that we go on we offset the carbon that we use throughout the trip by contributing to tree planting and other similar schemes.  This money will go towards planting five trees in London and five trees in Devon. Organics

Little Comfort Farm is a fully organic working farm. Organic farming places a strong emphasis on the environment and animcal welfare and, put simply, includes more of the good stuff and less of the bad stuff! For more information see the Soil Association website.

Recycling and energy saving

The cottage on which we stay is kitted out with energy saving light bulbs and recycles almost all of the waste that it produces. We endeavor to do the same and will recycle as much waste as possible.
